We have made a decision as to awards this year. Previously if you had one membership and you were winning an award in two divisions in one class, you were given the award in the highest division. After consideration, we have decided that you will be awarded the award in the highest placing. So if you are winning second in the Open in the 1D and first in the Open in the 2D, you will get the 1st place award, not the 2nd place award.

There are times when producers miss the co-sanction and don't supply your information. The last day to collect points will be at the Finals, Saturday, June 7th. Points are awarded on your membership, not your individual horse. You will receive one set of points for each membership. The points are on you and if you ride two horses in one race, your fastest time will always be put to the first number. You DO not buy a membership in order to run more then one horse. You buy a second membership for two reasons, to receive more then one year end award and qualify to run more then one horse at the finals.
POINTS: Are awarded in the Open, Senior, OpenAm and Youth to the ten fastest times in each division; and all members receive one point for entering. Example, you win the 1D, you will receive 11 pts and the next person is 10. If you knock a barrel down you will receive one point in the 4D for the Open, and 5D for the OpenAm and Youth as they are run in a 5D format and the Open is run in a 4D.
Points for Novice are awarded to the ten fastest times of the race. Divisions are not separated. The reasoning here is this is a novice class. Once you cap out at $1000 on your horse you, yourself can no longer run that horse in the Novice class. You can run a different horse that has not capped at $1000, but you cannot continue to ride the first horse since you both have capped out. Awarding points this way rewards the riders who are improving as they get the highest points. Year End awards will be given to the top ten in the Novice.
The OpenAm Class is based on the horse. $4000 CAP. And points are awarded per division. This class was designed for the horse that caps out of the Novice, but isn't running full on Open times yet. You as a member may ride any horse you want in this class, so long as the horse is under $4000 in winnings. Remember, your membership is on YOU, but you must always ride a qualified horse. You can ride in any class, only if you are qualified and your horse.
Points are awarded per membership. If you have one membership and ride two horses, you will receive the points on the fastest horse only. Membership is on the rider, not the horse. If you have two memberships, you will receive points for both membership numbers. But the fastest time will go to your first membership number.
You must have 6 races per membership to be eligible for year end awards and you must be a current member to run at the finals. You do not need to qualify with a number of races BUT you must be a member to compete at the finals. This years finals will be members only.
This season Nevada residents are listed under California. Next season if we receive at least 50 Nevada members we will have awards solely for Nevada residents.
ATTENTION: We cannot post points we don't have. I will list what points are pending. We cannot post points on results alone. We need information from that producer for who paid the $2 co-sanction fee. Points only begin as of the day you mail or submit your membership form. They are not retro-active to the beginning of the year. Again, just because results are posted does not mean we have received the co-sanction paperwork. Contact the producer and ask them if they have submitted it.
